Harry Potter movie #7... and #8

This one's to all the Harry Potter fans out there... I just saw on CNN that they're going to split book 7 into two separate movies - yeehaw! Too bad we won't be able to see the whole story in one sitting (it'll already be a long two-year wait between HBP and DH), but at least they're filming concurrently, so we'll only have to wait 6 months between releases. And who's complaining about another 2-3 hours of HP viewing enjoyment? Of course, they say it's for artistic reasons ("It was born out of purely creative reasons," producer David Heyman told the Times. "Unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book."), but we know they just want to milk the franchise for all it's worth... ;-)

So here's the schedule for the rest of the movies:

• November 2008 -- Half-Blood Prince
• November 2010 -- Deathly Hallows, Part 1
• May 2011 -- Deathly Hallows, Part 2
