Spent the day at home today, getting some projects done. We finally had a piano tuner come fix up the upright grand we inherited from K's parents. It's the first time I've ever heard it tuned up -- it's actually not a bad piano now! I'm excited to play it more now that it doesn't klink like an extremely flat tavern piano and now that it has a sustain pedal that works! ;)
After getting a haircut, I came home and called a friend in the ward to help me put together the new trampoline. He had just put the same one up at his house a couple weeks ago, so he knew the "tricks." I think ours went together about twice as fast as his did... Poor guy.
Speaking of poor guys... My two older boys, D and S, are beside themselves, as they weren't able to jump on the tramp today. Last week, they broke the lamp we had in our living room when they were bouncing an exercise ball around after K had told them not to. So we've been telling them all week that they weren't going to be able to jump on the tramp after we get it set up until after they work off the cost of a new lamp. Nothing like a carrot hanging in front of them to get them to move on something! They haven't even tried to work it off all week, but you can bet they were trying today! That shiny new tramp sitting out in the backyard is plenty of motivation for them to work work work! Hopefully, they'll get it done quickly. I really do want them to start having fun on it (despite their claims to the contrary - that we like to make them sad), and getting their energy out on it! I'll post some photos once they start jumping. I should have taken some today of O; he was having a blast.
Stake conference is tomorrow. Nothing like two hours on hard chairs with the boys trying to get them to stay quiet. I hope they behave themselves! :
