What is family?

I've been thinking a lot about this question lately... What is family? Is it a father, mother and any children they may have? Is it a husband and wife? Is it the people you grew up with together in the same house? Is it blood relations? Is it a group that treats each other with respect and kindness? Is it a group of people you're stuck with no matter how badly you treat each other (think sibling rivalry, etc.)? Is it people you get together with on a regular basis? Is it your best friends in the world? Is it those people linked together through an eternal bond of priesthood sealing? Is it those you think about before anyone else in this world? Is it those people you keep in your prayers every day? Is it the people you're committed to, no matter what happens in life? Is it the people you love so much you couldn't bare to think of going through life without them? Is it everyone around us?

Clearly, there are "yes's" and "no's" to all of these, to some extent and depending on how you interpret the question. But I'm interested in knowing what you think...

Now, the real question is whether there's anyone left reading my blog... According to the latest SiteMeter stats, there isn't. Let's see if we can prove them wrong. :)
