New Assignment

I'm psyched. As you may know, I'm in my first of two year-long rotations as a college recruit at Microsoft. I'm finishing up this first rotation (in People & Organization Capability -- a very exciting corporate HR group) at the end of July and moving on to my next role, which I just found out will be in an HR Business Partner (i.e., HR generalist) role in the Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division. I'm excited; this was my first choice for my next role! I've always been a gadget geek wannabe, so I'm excited about supporting that business -- also because it's a dynamic and startup-like environment where Microsoft is, in most cases, the underdog competing heavily for market position in some hot spaces (e.g., console and PC games, digital audio/photo/video, mobile devices, etc.). They're also carving out new spaces, as with Surface.
