Morning Fun

Surprisingly, school wasn't delayed this morning in Maple Valley. I say surprising because there was enough snow on the road to prevent the vanpool from driving in to Redmond (which is saying something). D had zero hour still, but that didn't prevent O and S from getting bundled up and heading out into the back yard for frolick around a bit in the snow. Well - S hardly bundled (he never does); he wore shorts, a t-shirt, his unzipped jacket and, of course, our favorite homemade hat from K. Crazy, crazy boy...

O being cute...

Go ahead... Dare me.

Can you find the bird?

Spring Snow in WA!

I can't believe it. Around 6:30 this afternoon it started snowing, and it hasn't stopped. Slowed yes - but still snowing a bit. It's supposed to snow off and on throughout the night and even over the next couple of days. There's not much on the roads, but by morning, it's supposed to be icy, so I'll likely be working from home tomorrow. Doesn't Mother Nature know it's spring???

Seriously, though, the older boys had fun for a while playing outside with the neighbor kids and were more than willing to jump into a warm shower when they got inside (ah - the small blessings...).

Here are a few photos of the exciting event:

D being cool, and S just excited that it was snowing...
