FHE at the Park

Those who know the LDS culture at all know that we typically reserve Monday evenings for something called “Family Home Evening” (FHE). It’s one evening a week that we set aside for family – no meetings, no phone calls (some families are more strict about this than others), no distractions. We typically have a lesson, an activity and a treat. Last night, for our FHE activity, we went to Maple Woods Park and let the boys run around and play for a while before coming back and having a nice lesson (thanks Kirsten) on faith. We had our treats earlier, thanks to the wonderful Mason family, who brought us some vanilla pie with chocolate-lined crust. Yummmmm!

I grabbed some photos at the park of the family, and Kirsten got a few of me. I’ve been messing around with them in the vanpool on the way to work – experimenting a little with brightness, contrast and color, cropping, etc. I know these aren’t also crystal clear, but that’s ok. I’m getting there… :)
