Microspotting

At least partially for a very self-serving reason (i.e., to get a free "I am the empire" t-shirt), I have to point out a really cool blog that I track at Microsoft. Called Microspotting, the blog's author -- Ariel -- spotlights diverse people that work at Microsoft.

I have to say that one of the things I've always loved about Microsoft is the diverse spectrum of employees. I've often said that one of my favorite things to do as I'm walking the hallways is to notice the nametags on office doors -- many (if not most) of which I cannot even pronounce, and some of which are so long they don't even fit on the name tag. ;-) The diversity contributes to more divergent and innovative thinking as well as a fun place to work for someone (like me) who loves getting to know new people, cultures, perspectives, etc.

So, this is my brazen advertisement for Microspotting. Check it out sometime -- Ariel posts some fascinating (and brief!) spotlights about a lot of interesting people, and it's not all work-related stuff... And, if you do happen to be interested in working for Microsoft, this is a great place to learn about the many types of people who work here.

Oh, but we're not diverse... Just kidding - maybe one day we'll be so lucky... ;)
